What a finale.

I absolutely adored this book and I'm so sad that this series has come to an end now. I'm always apprehensive going into final books simply because I'm filled with questions on how everything is supposed to come to a close. There are always so many plot points that need to be finished off. After Cress, I was full of dread. I was so scared for all the characters. Every single one of them experienced such growth and really began to come into their own.
Cinder started to believe in herself more and really stepped into the role of Queen. Whilst Kai moved from Prince into the role of King...with a bit of prodding. As always I loved their interactions and especially when they were scheming together. The little coin. Ugh. So cute.

My favourites, always, are Scarlet and Wolf. They certainly went on a journey relationship-wise in the last two books. It's difficult to describe it without spoiling but I cried so much. The jawline phrase. I couldn't help it.
Cress and Thorne. One of the best slow burn, will they won't they romances I've ever read. I love how Cress' confidence really grew in this book. She went from doubting herself at every turn to being able to make decisions and on occasion lead. Thorne finally became the hero we all knew he was.

Then Winter and Jacin. Whilst I'm still not sold on Jacin I adore Winter. She reminds me so much of Luna Lovegood and just like her is still so intelligent.

I also love the blend of females there are in this series. Cress and Winter are incredibly girly whilst Cinder and Scarlet are more hands-on and in professions that are typically ascribed to men. When I realised Cinder was a mechanic I was so happy. I always wanted to be one when I was younger.

Overall an incredible series and one I will be recommending for years to come.
