Top 5 Wednesday: Problematic Favourites

What is Top 5 Wednesday?

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam of Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube. Here is the link for the Goodreads group where you can find the list of topics and such.

This weeks topic is: Problematic Favourites

2. V.E Schwab

Holland. He's murderous and cold but there's just something that makes me love him despite all of that. His character develops so much. Victoria has always said that her male characters tend to lean towards Hufflepuff and her female characters are more Slytherin. I feel that Holland is  Slytherpuff. There's a side to him thats incredibly caring but he doesn't allow people to see it. Instead he puts on this cold and unconcerned exterior.

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon

I will forever love Jaxon Hall even though he's an awful awful human being. But he's got such style and sophistication. He treats Paige as though she's his property and is all around nasty. Yet I'm still drawn to him, he steals every scene he's in and I end up utterly captivated.

Othello

Iago is so manipulative and just plain evil. But like Jaxon Hall the man has style. He's so sassy and witty. And I kinda love him.

1. Pierce Brown

I'm part of a wonderful group on Facebook dedicated to the Red Rising series and the general consensus is that everyone hates Roque. He did some bad things...some very bad things. But he's one of those characters that I look at and all I can think is why? Why did you do that? Things could've been so different for you. I still love him but I mad at him for what he did.
