What is Top 5 Wednesday?

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam of Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube. Here is the link for the Goodreads group where you can find the list of topics and such.

This weeks topic is: Nostalgic Ships

1. Glass House by Rachel Caine

Shane and Claire will always be one of the most nostalgic ships for me. I read this series in the post Twilight craze where every YA book had a black cover and some kind of brooding model photo or abstract shot on it. Shane and Claire's relationship was by no means perfect but it reminds me of fourteen-year-old Katie devouring this series.

You can find the Goodreads page here.

2. Die for Me by Amy Plum

I'm not sure how nostalgic this ship is considering I've recently read the last book but I will always love Kate and Vincent. Their relationship was very 2013 YA instalove but I adored it. The passion, the utter devotion and of course the setting helped. I'll always enjoy a book set in Paris.

I have a review for If I Should Die here.

You can find the Goodreads page here.

3. The Wardstone Chronicles by Joseph Delaney

This series in general just brings back so many memories. Tom and Alice's relationship was wonderful...because it was so slow to develop. They were tentative friends first and grew from that. I still have some books to read from this series too.

You can find the Goodreads page here.

1. Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas

Considering where the series is now Celaena and Chaol is the ultimate throwback ship.

I have a review for Tower of Dawn here.

You can find the Goodreads page here.

5. Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz

Jack and Schuyler from the Blue Bloods series are another pair that reminds me of YA circa 2013. Cheesy, unrealistic and yet somehow loveable.

You can find the Goodreads page here.

What are some of your nostalgic ships

Thank-you for reading,
