Top 5 Wednesday: Fictional Places You’d Take a Date To

What is Top 5 Wednesday?

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam of Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube. Here is the link for the Goodreads group where you can find the list of topics and such.

This weeks topic is: Fictional Places You'd Take a Date To

4. A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas

I think the Rainbow Bridge in Velaris would be an incredible place for a date. To be able to watch the stars, the people and just explore. It's always been one of the places I recall when thinking about this series. Particularly, the first time Feyre and Rhys wandered down it.

I have a review for A Court of Wings and Ruin here.

I have a reviewer for A Court of Frost and Starlight here.

2. A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E Schwab

Red London has always been described as awash with energy and magic. I couldn't think of a better place in VE Schwab's books to take a date. I reckon the pubs would be brilliant around there too.

I have a review for A Gathering of Shadows here.

I have a review for A Conjuring of Light here.

3. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

I always refer to this as my hot chocolate book. It's the one I go back to whenever I'm in need of comfort. Mercy Falls has always felt like a home to me in that way and it's a place I'd love to take someone. Well, Sam obvs.

4. Harry Potter by J.K Rowling

It's a bizarre one but I've always thought that having a picnic on the Quidditch Pitch at Hogwarts would be such a sweet little date. Honestly, I've always wanted to go for a picnic with someone...again clearly obvious who I'd like to take.  Though definitely not when the bludgers are out... that could get messy.

You can find the Goodreads page here.

5. Caraval by Stephanie Garber

I wouldn't want to participate in Caraval with someone, but I'd certainly love to watch. Everything seems magical and wonderful. That, and I can never say no to waffles or pretty dresses...

I have a review for Caraval here.

I have a review for Legendary* here.

It’s nothing groundbreaking but it’s a very comforting series!
