What is Top 5 Wednesday?

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam of Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube. Here is the link for the Goodreads group where you can find the list of topics and such.

This weeks topic is: Pick Your OwnFavourite Sequels

4. A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas

I think this must be nearly everyone's favourite book in the far anyway. I liked the first ACOTAR book but wasn't a massive fan of it due to the behaviour of a certain character. Which was completely condemned in A Court of Mist and Fury much to my relief. I loved the rich settings described in this instalment and that we were introduced to the inner circle. Every book readers squad goals...

I have a review for A Court of Wings and Ruin here.

2. Traitor to the Throne* by Alwyn Hamilton

I've just finished the final book in this series and I couldn't decide which to go with but because I have yet to post my review I figured I'd go with this. Alwyn's writing and plot weaving with every sequel baffles me. She has such an addicting writing style where I don't want to put the book down. I need to finish them. This particular instalment finished on such a horrendous cliff hanger, I was bawling. It's phenomenal.

Iron Gold* by Pierce Brown

Like I wasn't going to include this?

My absolute favourite series. Just read it. Every book somehow gets better!

4. Windwitch by Susan Dennard

I just adore this series and I need to get my hands on Sightwitch....and Bloodwitch. I adored how the characters were paired off in this series it was a big step away from the first book in this series. I liked Iseult and Safi together a lot but I enjoyed seeing how they coped being apart for the first time in years. It really shed light on them as individuals and also how they interact with others.

I have a review for Windwitch here.

Obsidio* by Amie Kauffman and Jay Kristoff

I'm so so happy Fi pushed me to read this series. I loved every single book in this series but I adored the final book because all the characters were in one place. I loved how they interacted and also how all the different formats of story telling from across the series intertwined within this series. Marie Lu's art is simply stunning. I wish there were more books in this series...

I have a review for Illuminae here.

I have a review for Gemina here.
