Top 5 Wednesday: Favourite F/F Couples

What is Top 5 Wednesday?

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam of Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube. Here is the link for the Goodreads group where you can find the list of topics and such.

This weeks topic is: Favourite F/F Couples

This was such a difficult list to make, it seems I've hardly read any LGBTQ+ fiction. I'm gonna change that in 2018...

4. Windwitch by Susan Dennard

I adore Viva and Stix as a couple though they may not be quite cannon...yet. They argue and aren't afraid to call each other out when the other acts like an idiot. Something I think relationships need really. I can't wait to see if they do end up together in Bloodwitch.

I have a review for Windwitch here.

2. Tower of Dawn by Sarah J Maas

Hasar and Renia make me so happy. Hasar hates most people but is so incredibly protective of her lover. They balance each other out perfectly.

I have a review for Tower of Dawn here.

3. Orlando by Virginia Woolf

Orlando is an incredibly difficult novel to wrap your head around but in essence it's a novel about the fluidity of gender. With that, naturally theres a lot of LGBT characters/reference. Consistently, Orlando has relationships with both sexes and doesn't see anything different between them. I love how open and accepting of themselves they are.

I have a review for Orlando here.

2. Giant Days

Daisy is such an adorable character. She had a few different girlfriends throughout the series and though I wasn't fond of some of them overall I've always loved reading about her.

4. Rat Queens

Again, I can't particularly remember who Betty was with in this series but I love her as a character and as it says above I haven't really read many books with LGBTQ+ themes...yet. Regardless, this series is fantastic and Betty is the cutest little Smidgen.

Well, I certainly need to read the LGBTQ fiction on my shelves don't I...

Who are some of your favourite F/F couples?

Thank-you for reading,

Katie x

I haven’t read many yet, although I definitely need to read Susan Dennard’s books, and Of Fire and Stars looks really good too. There’s an F/F relationship in Reign of the Fallen I really liked!

They’re absolutely fantastic! I want to try and get my hands on her other series too.
I just ordered Reign of the Fallen! It looked incredible. OF Fire and Stars I’ve heard so much about. It’s definitely going on the list.
