Top 5 Wednesday: Characters On The Naughty List

What is Top 5 Wednesday?

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam of Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube. Here is the link for the Goodreads group where you can find the list of topics and such.

This weeks topic is: Characters on the Naughty List

4. Six of Crows* by Leigh Bardugo

Kaz Brekker reminds me of the naughty child in class that the teacher can't help but love, regardless of the fact they're an utter pain. He's a monster that will do anything to protect the ones he loves, even if he will never admit that he loves them!

2. V.E Schwab

Rhys, he's such a loveable rogue. But half the time it's a difficult decision if you want to kiss him or kill him. Mainly for the stupid decisions he makes and the stupid things he says. Similarly to Kaz, Rhys is the cocky kid that's irritatingly charismatic at times. Under it all though he's a softie.

1. Pierce Brown

Sevro. The gross filthy goblin. How I love thee...but my god you're getting coal in your stocking.

5. Sarah J Maas

Celaena, honey, you are getting coal. You've been ruthless, bloodthirsty and very revenge-y. But we still love you.

I have a review for Tower of Dawn here

5. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas

Tamlin, my friend. You sir, were an idiot. Not even coal for you.

I have a review for A Court of Wings and Ruin here

Which characters would be on your Naughty List?

Thank-you for reading,

Not surprised to see where your naughty list characters came from! I haven’t read any of these titles yet (a sin, I know), but I’ve read a good number of reviews for them. I’m hoping to pick up a copy of Six of Crows and A Darker Shade of Magic soonish, as they intrigue me. I kind of gave Sarah Maas a try already, and didn’t hit it off with her writing. But maybe it was just my mood… Great list!

Hehe, they tend to be my favourite characters! Six of Crows is phenomenal as is the Shades of Magic series. Highly recommend. Both are full of such rich world building, complex characters and mind boggling plot. Red Rising though, I will admit, remains in the top spot as my favourite book/series. If you like Star Wars/Game of Thrones I think you’d like it! I’ve noticed Sarah J Maas isn’t for everyone but every person has different taste!

      Thank-you lovely,

      Katie x
