Top 5 Wednesday: Books You’ve Removed From Your TBR

What is Top 5 Wednesday?

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam of Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube. Here is the link for the Goodreads group where you can find the list of topics and such.

This weeks topic is: Books You've Removed From Your TBR

1. The Perfect Girlfriend* by Karen Hamilton

This one, though it's not royally my kind of thing remains within our house. It's now on my Dad's TBR pile! As most of these have ended up in all honesty. truth be told I just don't tend to get on all that well with crime/thriller books. I adore tv shows like that but for some reason I find the books just don't grip me.

2. Dead Men’s Trousers* by Irvine Welsh

Possibly about to commit a book felony by taking this off my TBR. Again, just really isn't my thing and as much as I can understand the Scottish accent I can't for the life of me puzzle it out phonetically in a book. I read before bed and I certainly wouldn't have been able to work out half the words if I was tired. So this is another one that's been given to my Dad.

3. Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky

This is one of those I got because I was there at the time books. As much as I enjoy Sci-Fi giant killer spiders are not a favourite of mine so this was a no and have gone to a better home!

You can find the Goodreads page here.

4. Alice and the Fly by James Rice

I have had this book on my TBR for years and never picked it up. Safe to say I can't remember a thing about it aside from that I loved the cover. It has gone to my mother's friend who, from what I've heard enjoyed it immensely.

You can find the Goodreads page here.

5. In Bitter Chill by Sarah Ward

Another crime book I was rather meh about but got because I was at the signing. Again, this has gone to a far better home.

You can find the Goodreads page here.
