What is Top 5 Wednesday?

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam of Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube. Here is the link for the Goodreads group where you can find the list of topics and such.

This weeks topic is: Books You Want to Read Before 2019

Vox* by Christina Dalcher

This was one of the books my boyfriend Sam picked out for me to read soon. I say soon, I'm not sure at what point that's going to be considering all the Uni work. I do want to try and get to it soon. In this novel half the population has been silenced, women have their words rationed to 100 a day. I can't wait to see how this is portrayed.

2. Lush by Gabrielle Fernie

Another that Sam picked, well because he knows me very love of gin is no secret. These two best friends have had a lifetime together and now one is off to get engaged, the other has just been diagnosed with scurvy.

You can find the Goodreads page here.

3. The Poppy War by RF Kuang

This one has been on my TBR for such a long time but I've waited to pick up a paperback copy. After reading the premise I couldn't wait to get my hands on it but sadly I just haven't had the time to get to it. Rin, our main character, aces a test that should be impossible for someone of her birth to complete. She thinks she might finally be free of the upbringing she was nearly a slave too.

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas

Well duh. Of course I want to get to this one. Soon!

I have a review of Tower of Dawn here.

5. The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett by Chelsea Sedoti

Yet another one Sam picked for me. This I know nothing about, I just remember seeing it spoken about on Youtube. I think that's how I've ended up with most of my TBR actually. It's like there's some kinda compulsion that Youtube creates that just massively expands my TBR.

I’m hoping I get to it soon!
I’ve found it so hard to read anything not Uni related recently.
