What is Top 5 Wednesday?

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam of Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube. Here is the link for the Goodreads group where you can find the list of topics and such.

This weeks topic is: Books Your Didn't Get to in 2018

5. Made You Up by Francesca Zappia

I read Eliza and Her Monsters (review here) and absolutely adored it. So much so I put Made Your Up on my 8 YA Contemporary Novels I want to read in 2018...and of course I didn't get to it. Story of my life. However, I am determined to read it in 2019. I saw Emmmabooks talk about it on her Youtube Channel and fell in love with the premise. 2019 is the year of catch up...

2. Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen

So far I have read one of the Classics I planned on reading in my 8 Classics I want to read this year post...whoops! I'll be picking up 1984 very soon though. Northanger Abbey sounds perfect for me, a gothic spoof. I want to try and read all of Austen's novels this coming year...that might be a little too ambitious though.

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Again another one I had on my Sci-fi I wanted to read this year...and did not get to. Much to the horror of one of the girls I work with. I've been thoroughly told off for the fact I haven't read these...I PROMISE I WILL ABBEY.

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas

I'm horrified I still haven't read this. Horrified. I'm scared to go on twitter half the time for fear of spoilers. I think though, I'm going to bring this to Norwich with me when Sam and I go away to celebrate his birthday. I'll have plenty of time to read whilst he's driving...hehehe. I know I'm going to be paying him back for an awfully long time with all the driving he's had to do!

5. The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

Are we sensing a pattern here? Another one from my TBR series. This one being from the Adult Fantasy I want to read. Why is it that the vast majority of fantasy books are so damn large? They look like doorstops! I intend to read at least one Brandon Sanderson novel next year!

Thank-you for reading,
