Frat Girl by Kiley Roache

This is such a wonderful comment on our present society and the pre-existing gender stereotypes instilled into everyone. Whether we know it or not. For that reason I believe it's a book that will stand the test of time. It looks at feminism with a refreshingly objective view. It get criticised and championed which arguably it should be. Like everything in life it has pros and cons but that tends to stem from how its used. Feminism should not be a proverbial bat with which to beat men but rather a platform to place all genders on at an equal level which is what Frat Girl does with it. Whilst being hilarious and adorable. I adore this book. And it's characters. OMG THE PERIOD POP QUIZ.

3. Illuminae by Amie Kauffman and Jay Kristoff

I'm so glad that Fi convinced me to read this series. I absolutely adored the Illuminae Files. It was such an interesting way to tell a story to use messages and case files particularly with a sci-fi novel. It really suits the genre and still managed to get the personalities of the characters across. I wish there was more books in this series or even just in this world. I miss it so much.

Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia

This book just made me so happy in so many ways. It's a love letter to fandom and a call to those who love to create in whatever capacity they wish be it art, writing, photography. It perfectly captures what it means to be a creative soul and the difficulties that come along with it. Especially, when it becomes a job.

5. Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

I have yet to find a book that has surpassed my love of Children of Blood and Bone. I can't explain how this book made me feel without welling up a little bit. I genuinely jus want to be friends with Tomi now.
