Top 5 Wednesday: Auto-Buy Sci-fi and Fantasy Authors

What is Top 5 Wednesday?

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam of Thoughts on Tomes on YouTube. Here is the link for the Goodreads group where you can find the list of topics and such.

This weeks topic is: Auto-Buy Sci-fi and Fantasy Authors

3. Red Rising by Pierce Brown

Considering how many times I've mentioned this series here I think it's safe to say anything Pierce Brown writes I will pre-order, fight for and buy all the merch for. The Red Rising series was the first Sci-Fi series I read and really enjoyed. Since then I've branched out and started reading more Sci-Fi, I couldn't be more happy about it! I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the second Red Rising series.

I have a review for Iron Gold* here.

You can find the Goodreads page here.

5. A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E Schwab

I still haven't read some of her work but I do own all of Victoria Schwab's books...multiple copies of some. I adore the Shades of Magic series. I'm so so happy that there's going to be another trilogy set in this world. I need it. I need it now.

I have a review for A Gathering of Shadows here.

I have a review for A Conjuring of Light here.

You can find the Goodreads page here.

3. Illuminae by Amie Kauffman and Jay Kristoff

I currently don't have Illuminae in my possession...I lent it to a friend from uni. But now after marathoning this series virtually I need more from Amie Kauffman and Jay Kristoff. I've yet to read the books they're done solo but I love how they work together. Anddddddd, we're getting a new series from them soon! I'm so excited.

I have a review for Illuminae here.

I have a review for Gemina here.

I have a review for Obsidio* here.

You can find the Goodreads page here.

2. The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon

I adore The Bone Season. It's an incredibly complex narrative that blends many genres together seamlessly. Samantha Shannon is a genius. Her characters are multifaceted and there's so much thought put into each of them. Right down to the origin of their names and nicknames.

I have a review for The Song Rising* here.

You can find the Goodreads page here.

4. Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas

Just duh.

I have a review for Tower of Dawn here.

I have a review for A Court of Wings and Ruin here.

I will auto-buy all these authors, too! I can’t even think of anyone else to add to my own list.
*Maybe* Leigh Bardugo. I don’t LOVE all her books, but I like the concept of the Grishaverse so I keep reading her books. Yep, you’ve got it!
