The Everlasting Lipstick

December 9, 2017

I like my food. For anyone that knows me that isn't a surprise. But I absolutely hate the fear that when you're eating or drinking your once perfectly applied lipstick may have migrated half way up your face or will have disappeared altogether. More than once I have ended up looking like the joker as my red lip has somehow leaked out of the corner of my mouth... It's not a pretty look. I've spent years hunting for a lipstick that acts like sharpie for the lips. Many have come close...but now I think I've found the winner.

I've passed the Rimmel stand many times over the past year, looked at these and thought yes, I will try those. Then never actually picked them up. Cue the Boots 3 for 2 offer...I took the plunge and picked up three shades of the Rimmel Provocalips (410 Not Guilty, 500 Kiss Me You Fool, 550 Play With Fire).

From the pictures above you can see that there are actually two parts to this liquid lipstick. On the side with the kiss print is a clear thick gloss, if you want your lipstick to last ignore that side. We don't need that side. Instead, just apply the block colour to your lips and forget about it. Honestly, I have never come across a more long lasting lipstick. I had on the shade Kiss Me You Fool at University and it lasted through a Meatball Marinara from Subway at lunch and a few beers in the evening, with no reapplication. When you first apply the colour its quite tacky but no pigment comes off. Just press your lips together a few times and it should dissipate. Don't sleep on these. They are utterly incredible.

Have you tried the Rimmel Provocalips?

What did you think?

Thank-you for reading,
