The Case Study of Vanitas Volume One

Oh my god I loved this. I read The Case Study of Vanitas in one sitting. I need the rest now.

This volume opened with such a bang, there was so much action and so much going on. It reminded me of Blue Exorcist and also Seraph of the End (both of which are some of my favourite series) in terms of how the series started. Similarly, it has an absolutely phenomenal plot. I can see how this will develop and at the same time I'm convinced there will be no way I can predict what happens.

I'm already in love with all the characters and I can't wait to see how they develop. Noe is definitely my favourite, I'm intrigued to learn more about him and where he came from in the following volumes...which I will be ordering very soon. He was a very enigmatic character and there's definitely some things about him we aren't told in the first volume for a reason and I can't wait to find out what they are. Vanitas. Also a bit of an enigma. I really want to know how he's going to change over the course of the series. I like him but there's something about him that makes me thing he's not the most wholesome of characters.

Oh and the art. The art. So stunning.

There's also so much detail packed into this novel, characters have nicknames. There's different kinds of vampires and also vampire hunters. It's just so cool. I highly highly recommend this series.

I just checked it out. I might have to get this. Although I don’t read Manga (only because I haven’t tried it really) my son has declared that he loves it. I might have to check this out just for him. Great review!

Oh do! Tell me what you both think? It’s such a fantastic series. I went out straight after finishing this and picked up the next two volumes…safe to say I’m a little obsessed.
      Thank-you lovely,
