I'm not even going to say it, you know what I mean.
September was an excellent reading month, I got through a lot of books and whilst I didn't love all of them I loved most. I'm now desperate for some sequels and thankful to have finally finished one of my favourite graphic novel series. I only hope I can continue my good reading streak into and throughout 2021.
What Would Bouddica Do?* by E. Foley & B. Coates

Whilst I was really excited by the idea of this book I was let down a little by the execution. There wasn't as much of an entry on each woman as I would have thought and the information was given was dimmed by the constant insertion of jokes and humour.

The Court of Miracles* by Kester Grant

I have absolutely found a new favourite author and a new favourite series. I could go on and on about how well built the world was, how incredibly crafted the characters are. Honestly, I adored every single aspect about this, to the point that I spent a long time looking into Kester Grant's inspiration behind it. I wasn't disappointed.

Huntress by Malinda Lo

Dear Martin by Nic Stone

I still think about this book now. It's one that I don't think I'll ever be able to forget, nor would I want to. The story was breathtaking, the characters wonderful. I'm very excited to read all of Nic Stone's other works.

The Guest List by Lucy Foley

Lucy Foley is one of my favourite authors. I loved The Hunting Party when I read it last last year and then loved The Guest List just as much, if not more. She has a way of writing that pulls you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat. She's an auto-buy author for me now.

Lumberjanes Volume Six

I have a feeling the Lumberjanes series will go on forever, and I'm not mad about it. I always enjoy the volumes despite the fact they tend to follow a similar formula each time. That's how much I enjoy the characters and friendships here. Each girl is so different and yet they act like family. So very sweet.

I Hate Fairyland Volume Three

The penultimate volume of I Hate Fairyland, I liked it but not as much as the other two. I loved Larry's back story, I thought it was brilliant. I wish a similar thing was done for other characters too. Nevertheless, this is still one of my favourite graphic novel series.

I Hate Fairyland Volume Four

This was one of the most satisfying and well-timed endings to a series I have ever read. I applaud the team behind this series for knowing when to call it quits. The goal of I Hate Fairyland from the out was for Gert to get home, there's only so many ways that can go wrong. It finished at just the right time.
