I'm so very sad. Book and Nook will no longer be producing monthly boxes after November and at the end of December will no longer be a candle store. They still plan on making bookish items, just not candles. They were my favourite and had so many wonderful scents and designs. Even though they're switching things up this box was, as all the others have been, great. This months theme was Unique Leading Ladies, a change from the typical strong female that gets thrown around a lot. I loved the concept of this box.
I'm not a massive fan of fruit teas but I'll always give them a go. I'm more of breakfast, earl grey or if I'm being honest PG Tips kinda girl. I do love that Book and Nook have switched up what kind of things go into the boxes and this tea does smell incredible. It has hibiscus, rosehip, dried strawberry pieces, strawberry and vanilla flavouring. Very sweet.
Now, though I haven't read The Daughter of Smoke and Bone I do love this quote. The sad part, both the bookmark and spoiler card are on card this month. Like printer card. Not the lovely soft touch thick card that all the others were. Slightly disappointing.
This is perhaps one of my favourite candles ever. I haven't read Marissa Meyer's Cinder or any of the Lunar Chronicles but I do have them. Ah the curse of the book lover. Collecting more than you can read! This candle is named after the first books character Cinder, and smells of Oats, Honey and Vanilla. It is so delicious. And the glitter, oh my god. It's gorgeous.
Next up we have Alina from Leigh Bardugo's Shadow and Bone...another series I still haven't read. I will do soon though. Promise! This candle smells of Sweet Myrrh, Fire and Tonka Bean. Very fragrant!
Then Karou, from Laini Taylor's Daughter of Smoke and Bone. This one smells of Midnight Pomegranate and Starlight. It's so clean. I'd love this as a room spray.
Penultimately, Blue. From Maggie Steifvater's Raven Cycle. I have read one book in this series! Just the one though...This is a super floral scent but still very nice. It's notes are Peach Blossom, Trees and Honeysuckle.
Finally, Juliette of Tahereh Mafi's Shatter Me. Yay for citrus. This one smells of Pomelo, Lime and Clementine.
