I have been a long time follower of Maria Hatzistefanis (the CEO of Rodial and Nip + Fab) on Instagram. I love her ethos, mentality and many many fashion posts. I picked up her book Overnight Success a while ago...though I've yet to get to it. Story of my life right? But on a whim I decided to wander into Harvey Nichols just after Christmas with a gift card burning a hole in my pocket and found myself gravitating towards the Rodial section. A huge thank-you to the lovely Beth who spent ages talking through the different products with me.
I have to preface this saying that Rodial is not an affordable brand. At all. But my god their products are fantastic. I picked up, from the new Vit C range the Brightening Mask. First of all I love the packaging, the pump makes this very hygienic and you get the perfect amount of product. It's a clear gel consistency with a citrus scent. I wasn't a massive fan of the smell at first but I don't mind it now. I love how this makes my skin feel. When its on there's a slight tingle, which I like but I know isn't great for some people. To me it suggests its doing something. After a few weeks of use I've found my skin is brighter and smoother. I'll have to get another when this runs out.
Oh I love the Brightening Pads. I was shocked at how well they worked. Within a couple of days I noticed a difference in my skin texture, I have quite a few under the skin bumps which cleared up almost immediately using these pads. They lasted a lot longer than I anticipated but are quite an expensive extra step. If you have any open wounds or spots these will sting. A lot. I warn you now. Don't be me. However, if you're able I highly recommend these. They also help balance the oil on the skin and tighten pores so I tend to use these in the morning only.
This was a huge sample...and now I want the full size. I adored how this cream felt. It smoothed out my skin and made it feel so so soft. I did notice however though that it could write easily pill up when placing a primer on top of it. Though that may have simply been because I was a little over zealous with the amount I used... what can I say I loved the Stem Cell Magic Gel.
Have you tried anything from Rodial?
What did you think?
