After loving the first Book and Nook box I ordered in September I knew I needed to get another...however I missed the October one. Hence, November! This Months theme was Nights At The Circus and I was so incredibly excited. Caraval by Stephanie Garber (review here) was one of my favourite reads this year and I now I want all the circus fiction.
Firstly in the box, we received the monthly bookmark. This time it had a quote from the Night Circus (I really want to read this) by Erin Morgenstern saying; "This is not magic. This is the way the world is. Only very few people take the time to stop and note it." On the reverse in blacks, whites and reds is a circus tent. The other item this month is a bath bomb (that I intend to use very soon) in the scent candy apple, it's absolutely divine. But I have no idea who its made by!
I had to start with my two favourite candles. Both of these candles are themed around the Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and have a similar colour palette on the beautiful labels. I must admit black, white and red tends to be all I wear when it comes to clothing... Circus of Dreams has the scent apple, caramel and chocolate. Again with Book and Nook you can smell every single ingredient which I love. I'm also a big fan of the wax of this one. Black with silver glitter...so pretty! The next candle is named Reveurs and smells of plum, honey and devotion. I never knew what devotion smelled like...now I know! I like the wax for this two, its almost marble with a sprinkling of red glitter.
Next up we have Gomorrah, a candle based on Daughter of the Burning City which is currently sat feeling very neglected on my TBR. This candle is described as pomelo, myrrh and fire. It's a very heady scent but another one that I really like. The tone on tone of the wax also looks fantastic...purple is a favourite colour of mine too.
Then we have Caraval, named for one of the best books I've ever read. This candle smells of roses, mistletoe and wine...a perfect christmas scent some may say. This wax is red with a mix of black and red glitter on top. If I'm honest I think it would've looked better with just red glitter on top!
Finally we have The Girl Without Eyes, another candle inspired by Daughter of the Burning City. This time it smells of chamomile, vanilla and magic. It's a cross between a clean and sweet fragrance and I really love this one. I also love the duo chrome glitter on top of the pastel purple wax.
That's it for the November Book and Nook box. I absolutely loved this box. I can't wait to see what they produce in 2018!
Have you tried any bookish boxes or candles?
What did you think?
Thank-you for reading,
