A little bit ago I ventured into Manchester with my family to watch Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre. It's been a show I've wanted to see for years and we finally got tickets this time around. Of course, we couldn't go in on an empty stomach. A recommendation from one of my mum's work friends sent us here, to Miller and Carter.
I'm a sucker for scallops. They're possibly one of my favourite foods and if they're on a menu I tend to go for them. But the star of the show was definitely the steak. It was a bit of a build your meal, you picked the steak, sauce and sides. I went for a rump with fries and hollandaise. The best sauce in my opinion.
As an added extra, because I needed to try it I went for the Lobster Thermidore Mac and Cheese. If you go to Miller and Carter order this. Oh my god. It was incredible. A nice touch is every single steak comes with a bowl of lettuce dressed with whichever sauce you want and parmesan shavings. Admittedly, mine remained untouched but the cheese was fab.
Finally, Les Mis was amazing. It's a show I could watch again and again because there's so much to see. All in all a fantastic evening with fantastic food.
Have you been to Miller and Carter, or watched Les Mis?
What did you think?
