What's the phrase, flogging a dead horse? Something along those lines I think, not a pleasant one though is it? I say that because once again this month's (well May's) box contained some of my favourite items. I have to say though, a wooden spoon? Like I'll be using that! It's going on the wall and away from Sam's utensil holder... This month's Fairyloot box theme was Desert Dreams.
I can't recall seeing anything about Girl, Serpent, Thorn before it arrived in this box but I do recognise Melissa Bashardoust's name. I adore the sound of this book and the cover I want as a print on my wall.
The stunning artwork on the reverse of the dust jacket is by orikye.

There was and there was not, as all stories begin, a princess cursed to be poisonous to the touch. But for Soraya who has lived her life hidden away from everyone apart from her family, safe only in her gardens, it's not just a story.
As the day of her twin brother's wedding approaches, Soraya must decide if she's willing to step outside of the shadows for the first time. Below in the dungeon is a demon who holds the knowledge that she craves, the answer to her freedom. And above is a young man who isn't afraid of her, whose eyes linger not with fear, but with an understanding of who she is beneath the poison.
Soraya thought she knew her place in the world, but when her choices lead to consequences she never imagined, she beings to question who she is and who she is becoming... human or demon.
Princess or Monster.
I have certainly got plenty of tea to fill these tins up with! They're going to look brilliant on the shelves in the kitchen when they're eventually done... The tin was designed by chattynora and features a quote from Hafsah Faizal's We Hunt the Flame. A book I've yet to read but is waiting patiently on my shelves.
I love anything bath related. There's something so blissful about soaking in a tub full of bubbles with a glass or a mug of something whilst you do so. These salts were created by Little Hearts Gifts and are scented with sandalwood. They smell absolutely amazing.
It's slow going but I'm making my way through my candle collection. It's taken a lot of time to amass the amount I've got, but I'll never say no to one more. I suppose that's how I ended up with so many in the first place. This candle was created by wickandfable and is themed around An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. Its scent is sweet with a slight floral note. I can't find a description anywhere of the ingredients but it's divine.
I can't get over the colours of this sunglasses pouch. It's gorgeous. The shades perfectly match a pair of sunglasses I've had forever too and the material is so silky. I spent far too long rubbing it... This was designed by kitstercronk and features a quote from The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury.
