Matcha Isn’t Just For Tea

Hands up if, like me, you love face masks. There is nothing better than after a long weekend at work relaxing in a bubble bath with a facemask on. One of my current favourites is The Body Shop's Japanese Matcha Tea Mask. Firstly, I love how this smells, it's so clean and fresh. Which is also how it leaves my skin feeling. I've never tried anything Matcha flavoured before, edible or otherwise so I don't know if Matcha always smells like this or not. Either way I like it. This mask claims to remove pollution, deeply purify and protect again pollution adhesion. I haven't the foggiest what pollution adhesion is but I definitely agree that it deeply purifies.

So far I own two of the Body Shop masks and I love them dearly. I intend to pick up more soon...One of the main things that I love about this range is that it feels as though you're getting two products in one. From the above picture you can see there are little particles suspended in the mask that exfoliate the skin as the mask is removed. The Chinese Ginseng and Rise (review here) also has bits like this and I'm pretty sure the rest of the range does too. It's a strange thing to say but the fact that this mask is green makes me so happy. It reminds me of watching the late 90's/early 2000's american movies where every female wears a green face mask at some point. It's the little things right? Anyway, I think this is a fantastic mask and also makes a great christmas gift. The Body Shop has a set of these masks that would also make a lovely gift for the person that needs a bit of self-love time.

Have you tried the Japanese Matcha Tea Mask?

What did you think?

Thank-you for reading,
