Still a light reading month, I mean two of the books I read were picture books! In fairness, it took me a while to get through my course books and I had a lot of assignments due in March...and I'll have more due in May. But the end is in sight and the summer of reading is soon coming. That being said I did like a lot of what I read this month, even if it wasn't that much.
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
I took a while reading Jane Eyre but I really loved it. I found myself missing the characters when I wasn't reading the book and I was always desperate to know what was going to happen. It's been a book I've wanted to read for a while but I needed the push to get there. I'm excited to see what I can pull from the book to analyse but I just genuinely enjoyed this. It's now a firm favourite
I had to read a lot of picture books for one of my assignments. I went with dragons because of course. I'd never read Zog before but I loved it. It was so cute and it's definitely a book I'm going to hang onto.
Another in the dragon picturebook saga. There is No Dragon in this Story was so cute, it featured other stories too like Jack and the Beanstalk and Red Ridinghood. It was adorable. Another I'm keeping, because what is a reading age really?
I can see myself picking this up when I need to smile every now and again. This collection of cartoons perfectly sums up what it's like to be in a relationship, or at least I identified with a lot of it. I'd be giggling and smiling thinking yep, we do that or yep, Sam has to put up with that. I even showed him the collection to which he said: "are you sure you didn't write this?" I adored it.
