Books Fairy Loot Unboxings

March Fairyloot

April 9, 2018

Happy Anniversary/ Birthday Fairy Loot! You're two years old now! It's incredible to think that a short while ago this incredible business wasn't around.  Subscription boxes are a massive part of the book community, they bring together readers, artists and authors seamlessly. Our community wouldn't be the same without them. To commemorate their birthday this month's theme was Memorable Moments.

I had no clue that this book was coming in the box this month hence why I had immediately bought the paperback...nevermind! It'll go to a good home. I'm so so happy to have a hardback copy with a bookplate of State of Sorrow. Melinda Salisbury is one of my favourite authors. I adore her Sin Eater's Daughter series and I'll buy anything she puts out. State of Sorrow sounds absolutely phenomenal.

**Taken from the book** -

"A people laid low by grief and darkness.
A cut-throat race for power and victory.
A girl with everything and nothing to lose…

By day, Sorrow governs the Court of Tears, covering for her grief-maddened father, who has turned their once celebrated land into a living monument for the brother who died before she was born.
By night, she seeks solace in the arms of the boy she's loved since childhood. But one ghost won't stop haunting her, and when enemies old and new close ranks against her, Sorrow must decide how far she's willing to go to win..."

This is such a cute item to include in the Memorable Moments box. Created by Paladone this bunting can be hung anywhere and adorned with pins, photos and notes. I already know where I'm having mine and possibly whats going on it!

I adore Fiction Tea's instagram and I need to get my hands on some of her bookmarks! I haven't yet read the Shadow Hunter novels but I do own them all and am looking forward to it. I can't wait to wear this beautiful scarf out and finally know what all the runes are for.

This has to be one of the most incredible smelling candles I have ever sniffed...not sure how to word that. Nevertheless this candle smells like Fresh Bread and Chocolate, it's straight up Pain au Chocolat. I need more of the Paper Flames Candle Co candles, they're beautiful. And this size is so cute!

Strawberry Shortcake in a soap...I love this. I've always wanted to give the Geeky Clean products a go, I trawl through their Instagram nearly daily. This soap is called Bilbo's Birthday Cake and smells glorious.

There is nothing more relaxing than snuggling under a blanket with a book and a steaming mug of hot chocolate. I always love when subscription boxes send drinks and food in them. This particular sachet is a Hot Chocolate from Eponine called Toast to the Warden of the North. I do love Game of Thrones...

Finally we got some swag from the publishers, a lovely bookmark promoting Dhonielle Clayton's The Belles and a postcard for Melinda Salisbury's State of Sorrow. As always we received the spoiler card and monthly bookmark illustrated by the every talented Taratjah.

So that was my March Fairyloot Unboxing!

Have you tried any bookish subscription boxes before?

What did you think? And what was your favourite item from this box?

Thank-you for reading,

Katie x
