March Book and Nook

May 7, 2018

An exciting update...there are still loads of books on my floor but theres a reason! I went through my shelves and got kinda ruthless. I've given an awful lot of books to friends and family, have some to go up into the loft and also have plans to pick up a dedicated shelf for my Manga and graphic novels. Meaning I've had room to spread out my candles and pops across all my shelves! I have room for more Book and Nook candles agaaaaaaain. YAY! This months theme was Creatures of the Forest.

As always the bonus item. This necklace makes me so happy. I adore fairytales and all things disney. This little fairy necklace gives me intense Peter Pan vibes and looks so cute on. I haven't taken it off since I got it. I loved the artwork on the bookmark and spoiler card this month too. I don't know if it's because it's so sunny at the moment but it gives a real summer-y feel.

I have been sat for five minutes trying to figure out what on earth this smell reminds me of and IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE. However, it smells absolutely delightful. Based on The Cruel Prince by Holly Black the candle Faerie Fruit smells of Apple, Pear and Honey, my god it's phenomenal. I love the bright yellow too. Very summery. I wonder how many times I'll say that word in one post...

Next up we have, inspired by one of my favourite series A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas, Faerie Wine. It smells of Snowberry, Mistletoe and Cider. A surprisingly sweet scent and I need a perfume in this scent. And a dress in the colour of the wax and glitter...

Then, also by Miss Sarah J Maas is the Amulet of Orynth, inspired by the Throne Throne of Glass series. It smells of Blackberry Musk, Night and Fairy Dust. I imagine this is what Terrasen would smell like. It's so fresh whilst having a slight floral undertone. Big fan.

Then we have The Horned Prince inspired by The Darkest Part of the Forest, also by Holly Black. Which I have actually read and really enjoyed! This candle smells of Clementine, Snow and Trees, again very fresh and slightly fruity.

And finally, inspired by the ever growing Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare is Unseelie Lands. This one smells of Pine, White Musk and Myrrh. It's a very deep scent, in fact it'd make a lovely men's cologne. I love the black glitter too.

That's it for the March Book and Nook box.

Have you tried any bookish boxes or candles?

What did you think?

Thank-you for reading,

Katie x
