March Tea Taster

This is the first month that I haven't loved everything in the Bird and Blend Tea Taster subscription, it was bound to happen at some point. I did find a new favourite this month though! Sadly, it's a seasonal tea so I'm going to have to stock up whilst I can. For March all the teas were Easter themed and there are more Easter teas on the website too. I love the sound of the Hot Cross Bun one.

March Tea Taster

This is my new favourite. It's like drinking a hot chocolate and it smells insane in the packet. After the incident with the Whittards Chocolate Popcorn tea (here), I'm a little afraid of chocolate teas. They smell amazing in the packet but as soon as you add water it changed. However, this tea smells as amazing when you add water as it did in the packet. It was lovely breathing in the chocolatey smell whilst drinking it.

Simnel Cake, I had no idea what it was at all. I've never heard of that as an Easter specific treat before. The tea smells great as it has a very strong marzipan scent. One of my favourite things. It changes slightly as water is added and has a very aromatic taste and smell to it. I can imagine having this in winter, it reminds me of the mistletoe and wine tea that came in the December Tea Taster (here).

I had such high hopes for this tea. It smells out of this world in the pack and I loved the inclusion of the marshmallows. It had all the elements of a little easter egg nest. Unfortunately, when I added water to this tea I couldn't get over the smell. It was nowhere near as strong as the Whittards chocolate incident but was very similar. Having looked at the ingredients I think it's the green tea that I'm not a fan of. A good thing to know in the future. I didn't manage to drink this one, unfortunately.
