Magical Shadows

Be still my beating heart. A Witchcraft and Wizardry themed eye-shadow palette? Two of my favourite things. I want everything that Storybook Cosmetics releases. I hadn't even thought about the quality. I just knew it was book themed makeup and I needed it... Fortunately Santa thought I'd been a good girl this year and I found this in my stocking on Christmas morning. Safe to say I squealed...a lot! Firstly, the packaging is absolutely stunning. The side of the palette looks like the spine of a book, the front looks like a book cover and the inside is beautiful. I'm not ashamed to admit that I have often just sat and stared at this palette, like for a good half an hour. Okay it was longer...

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the shadows. The metallic shades are incredibly pigmented, the mattes are still good but not at the same level. My three favourite shades are definitely Sorceress, Bewitched and Jinx. All the shades blend very easily and there's enough variety that you can get a lot of looks out of this palette. There's a great balance of neutrals and pops of colours. I wouldn't recommend taking this travelling just because of the size. It's small in height but very deep. All in all I adore this palette. Eventually, I want to be able to display it too! I think it'd look incredible on a set of shelves in my office...when I get an office. One day...one day...

Have you tried the Storybook Cosmetics Witchcraft and Wizardry palette?

What did you think?

Thank-you for reading,
