July Illumicrate

It's been a little while since I've ordered an Illumicrate box, but this time I did it with an ulterior motive. A dear friend of mine runs a brilliant bookish store making all sorts from pins, to resin pieces and even pin hoops and had an item in this box. I'm sure you'll spot who that is further down the page. I was very happy with the items in the box but wish they'd include the name of the books they're from on the spoiler card. I had to hunt for a while to figure out which books certain items came from.

Seven Devils by Elizabeth May & Laura Lam

I had absolutely no idea this book was even out. I've read one of Laura Lam's books a long time ago and enjoyed it so I'm hopeful for Seven Devils. I don't think I've read anything by Elizabeth May yet.

**Synopsis taken from book**

After Eris faked her death, she thought she had left her old life as Princess Discordia - heir to the galaxy's most ruthless empire - behind. But joining the Novantaen Resistance, an organisation opposed to the Empire's voracious expansion, throws her right back into the fray.

Resistance fighter pilot Clo has been given a mission: infiltrate an Empire spaceship ferrying deadly cargo to gain vital intelligence. A task made all the more difficult when she's forced to partner with an old enemy - Princess Discordia herself, Eris.

They discover more than they bargained for on the ship: fugitives with firsthand knowledge of the Empire's inner workings. With this information, these women might just bring the Empire to its knees.

But the clock is ticking: Eris's brother Damocles, new heir to the throne, plans to disrupt a peace summit with the only remaining free alien people, ensuring the Empire's total domination.

Unless this band of unlikely rebels stops him, millions will die...

I wish I'd been quicker with Illumicrate's stock sale when they had the other ceramic pots available as this one is absolutely stunning! It was designed by chattynora and is now sitting proudly on my desk.

This lovely keyring features Barrons Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's Fever series. A set of books I have yet to read. This was designed by my lovely friend Fi of Felfira Moon Designs.

I can't say I loved unlined notebooks buuuut I do like the design on the cover of this. The Bone Season is one of my favourite book series, I can't wait for The Mask Falling. This was designed by Carly A-F.

These glasses make me smile. I've decided they're going to be my gardening glasses too. I was wearing my Ray Bans but knowing my luck I'd end up either losing them as I'm planting or in the compost bags! These super cute Star Wars emblems on the arms were designed by heyatlascreative.

Whilst I haven't yet read the An Ember in the Ashes series I have the first three books and plan on marathoning them when I can get my hands on a matching copy of the final book. I recognise the names of the characters on these gorgeous cards but that's as much as I know. These were illustrated by Michela Cacciatore.

I've been a fan of Fable and Black for years. They do all sorts of gorgeous products, my favourites being their prints and pins. I love that Illumicrate works with them so frequently! This pin is inspired by Zatrikion, the game played in the book of the month.

Then finally as some extras, we received a bookmark and a badge. I haven't a clue what the bird on the badge is a reference to though.

So that was my July Illumicrate Unboxing!
