January 2020 Fairyloot

Another month another Fairyloot box, this month's box didn't have as many books themed items. It was called the Moon & Stars Box as you can imagine, a lot of the items were moon and stars themed instead. Whilst I liked the items I wish there had been more of a book focus on them. I do love the moon trinket dish though.

Woven in Moonlight by Isabel Ibanez

I'd never heard of this book before receiving this box but it sounds wonderful, and the cover alone is stunning.

**Synopsis taken from the back of the book**

Ximena is the decoy Condesa, a stand-in for the last remaining Illustrian royal. Her people lost everything when the usurper, Atoc, used an ancient relic to summon ghosts and drive the Illustrians from La Ciudad. Now Ximena’s motivated by her insatiable thirst for revenge, and her rare ability to spin thread from moonlight.

When Atoc demands the real Condesa’s hand in marriage, it’s Ximena’s duty to go in her stead. She relishes the chance, as Illustrian spies have reported that Atoc’s no longer carrying his deadly relic. If Ximena can find it, she can return the true aristócrata to their rightful place.

She hunts for the relic, using her weaving ability to hide messages in tapestries for the resistance. But when a masked vigilante, a warm-hearted princess, and a thoughtful healer challenge Ximena, her mission becomes more complicated. There could be a way to overthrow the usurper without starting another war, but only if Ximena turns her back on revenge—and her Condesa.

This necklace is absolutely gorgeous though I must admit I don't think it's one I'll be wearing. I wear the same two every day and both were a gift from Sam. It does, however, feel super sturdy and well made, I can imagine it looking fantastic on some people. This was designed by Noverantale

I do love fairy lights, they make such a good prop for photos. I have a set with stars already but they're on a copper wire. I can't wait to use these too.

Possibly my favourite item! This now sits proudly on my bedside table at Sam's. It's perfect for my many many rings. The oil slick colouring is gorgeous.

Yay! A book themed item. The Illuminae series is one of my favourites and has been for years. I'll be adding this one to my collection of currently unused notebooks. The foiling, THE FOILING. This was designed by Fairyloot.

I'm running out of room for my bookish pillows now but I'll never say no to any more. This is a little more of a subtle design what with the moon design on one side. I love the colour palette too. It's so clean and fresh. This was created by beckthornsdesigns.

How cute is this?! It's now on my keys in pride of place along with my little Hogwarts letter. It glows in the dark too. The dragon really reminds me of Spyro, I loved those games when I was younger. This keyring was designed by dustandpages and was inspired by Even the Darkest Stars by Heather Fawcett.

These are so handy and super cute. Stationary is one of my weaknesses, I collect pens and notebooks as though they're going out of style.

This months tarot cards were designed by gabriella.bujdoso and feature characters from Sabaa Tahir's An Ember in the Ashes series.

This months spoiler card and bookmark were designed by Taratjah as always. It's a landscape print this time, I love it. The character card was designed by katbdraws. I love it.

We got some stickers this month too! I can't wait to decorate my notebooks with these.
