My work commute has been drastically reduced in the last few months, like most people. Which means I've found myself enjoying a drink in the evening a little more often. Why not? It's all about the small pleasures now, isn't it? For me curling up with a book and my favourite drink of choice is how I've enjoyed spending my evenings. In honour of this, I decided to make a little space on the blog for my favourite tipple of choice.
It's no secret that I'm a fan of gin, I have been for a few years now. In that time I've tried quite a lot of different kinds and built up a bit of a collection, with the help of my family. I'd say they like gin almost as much as I do but I'm not entirely sure that's possible.
One of my favourites has always been Hendricks. Every so often they release a limited edition with a variation in the botanicals but the original remains my go to.

Hendrick's flavour comes from the two main ingredients, rose and cucumber giving it a very fresh taste. These along with eleven other botanicals make it a lovely summer drink (and year-round drink) in my opinion. You'll quite often see it served with regular tonic (fever-tree Mediterranean tonic is my favourite ) and slices of cucumber which is one of my favourite ways to enjoy it. For a little twist, elderflower tonic complements it wonderfully as well bringing out the more fragrant rose.
A quick google and you'll see how many different recipes there are for a Hendrick's G&T. Everyone does it slightly differently but with a gin this lovely you can't go wrong.
Have you tried Hendrick's Gin?
What did you think?
Thanks for reading,
