A little bit ago I had the absolute pleasure of being invited to Moonpig's Mother's Day event which showcased their card range of course but also some of the gifts and flower arrangements available. Everyone knows Moonpig, they're the Uk's leading card retailer but I had no idea they had other items on their site! I had a browse on their site after I'd got home and couldn't believe the amount to choose from, there's a gift for every kind of Mum.
The best part of this event? I got to bring my Mum with me. We had the best time and I've already got my Mother's Day gifts sorted now...
We were greeted with a Prosecco and all night we never had an empty glass. Just as well we'd also been fed there too. Quinoa bowls, coconut shrimp and the most adorable mini burgers and chips.
To begin we got pampered. A lovely hand and arm massage to get the evening started, accompanied by more fizz of course. A massage is something I rarely get whether it's a hand, arm or full body but when I do I always feel so relaxed. It's definitely something I'll be looking into doing more often now.
Then we had a cocktail masterclass from Mix and Twist, three different cocktails each with a bit of a competitive element. I can't remember the last time I giggled so much. My favourite was the French '75...it had gin in, which others would've been my favourite really?
We got the chance to make our own card too, possibly the thing that Moonpig is most known for is the ability to personalise their cards. The entire night was focused around the hashtag #heartfeltwithmoonpig, as their belief is heartfelt can happen anywhere this Mother’s Day with Moonpig. Showing someone you care doesn’t have to be complicated. Moonpig makes being thoughtful super easy and convenient because you can craft the perfect card wherever, whenever, with just a couple of clicks...and an awful lot of laughing. We had so much fun posing in front of the greenscreen and messing around.
Remember I said that there's so much more besides cards on their site? This is but a small selection of some of the gifts you can treat your mum/mother figure to this mother's day.
Our final event of the evening was flower arranging, something I've never done before. My skill in this is usually limited to sticking them in the vase and hoping for the best. I certainly learnt a lot from Roxanne in this class. Oh! The arrangement I made was still going strong two weeks later as well. I think it's the longest flowers have ever lasted for me. You can find the range of flower arrangements available on Moonpig here.
My mum was in her absolute element, she adores flowers, Lillies being her favourite and pottering about in the garden. There were so many gorgeous ones to choose from too and they came from so many far-flung places. I hadn't realised that most florists tend to have their flowers imported.
I must say I was very proud of my creation, though I don't think it could sit among the ones on their website. I'll need a
little bit lot more practice before that happens.
The evening came to a close and we were sent home with a gorgeous little goody box to continue the evening at home. Which we certainly did. Chocolate, tea and a pamper set...what more did the night need?
A huge thank you to Moonpig and Jennie for inviting us. We had an absolute blast. I've got my Mother's Day card and gifts sorted. Have you?
If not these links might help, you can thank me later;
