Giant Days Volume Three

This is one of my favourite graphic novel series for so many reasons, mainly because it's so hard to find any form of fiction that takes place at University. It's something I bring up a lot as to my knowledge I've only ever found this series, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and Frat Girl by Kiley Roache. I imagine there are a lot more but I still think it's an underrepresented demographic.

Then you have three incredibly different roommates that get on so well. They're different not only in appearance but also personality. In each volume, different topics are broached from slut-shaming, to sexuality, break ups and being overworked to name but a few.

This volume explored young parents, break ups, deadline stress, turbulent friendships, 'bad sex' and so so many more. Each topic is treated with a lovely level of sensitivity whilst still being humorous. Each of these topics tends to account for its own little mini-story within the overall series as well. I enjoy how each character gets their own story as well as being part of each others. Even the side characters tend to have a proper little arc within this volume which makes the overall cast so much stronger. You love every single character.

I think I'm a little like Esther is this. Very hyper and enthusiastic. Particularly is there is a puppy or baby near by...
