Fenty Beauty #2

March 2, 2018

After my raging success with Fenty Beauty in the past I'd been keeping an eye on their new releases. I didn't go for any of the Christmas collection simply because it wasn't really me. However, a bright red liquid lipstick? Um, yes please. I can't remember where I first saw the Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored. I think it may have been on Kim Thai's instagram... I've always been a fan of a bright red. It looks like it should be displayed too, kinda of like those outrageously expensive Louboutin nail polishes. I love the applicator on this too, it's a very round little doe foot that makes it so easy to get a crisp line.

Then the Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick, this was more of an impulse purchase. I hadn't intended to pick one of these up but then when I saw the stand and started swatching them...well I fell in love. But as much as I like the packaging I don't think you get an awful lot of product. For £16 it's quite a slim bullet and twisted all the way up there doesn't appear to be much. A MAC lipstick is roughly the same price and you get an awful lot more bang for your buck.

Both formulas of these lip products are lovely, they're comfortable, pigmented and last very well. However, neither dry to a completely matte finish. The Stunna Lip paint although it looks matte still smudges and transfers, so perhaps not one to wear if you're eating but it does mean it isn't drying. Nor does it flake off. The Mattemoiselle lipstick is much the same, it has a very similar texture to the Maybeline Creamy Matte lipsticks, they don't have much shine but they do slip around a little. I went for the shade Spanked in this range, its a lovely deep warm nude which tends to be what I go for in cream lipsticks. It suits me, is easy to apply and doesn't matter if it fades a little as its a nude. I might have to have a look at some of the other shades! I really hope there's more shades of the liquid lipstick released soon...

Have you tried any of the Fenty Lip products?

What did you think?
