Books Wrap Ups

February Wrap Up

February 2020 Wrap Up

A little bit earlier than my last wrap ups, I'm heading in the right direction! February was quite a good reading month for me, I got to read one of my most anticipated finales and found a new favourite series. Considering it's the shortest month of the year I'm going to take four books and a graphic novel as a win.

P.S. I Still Love You By Jenny Han

P.S. I Still Love You By Jenny Han

The second instalment of the Lara Jean trilogy and it was just as cute as the first. This one shows how relationships aren't about perfection but the ability to continually understand one another. I really appreciated seeing a couple that stuck with each other despite problems. All too often there's an emphasis if it isn't perfect it isn't right and I loved their imperfections.

And Jamie Fox Pickle as well.

Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han

Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han

I loved the finale of this series. It was so wholesome and once I'd finished it I genuinely sat for a good half an hour hugging the book. Fortunately, I'd put it down once Sam was home but honestly at this point he knows what I'm like with books. I'm glad that this book also showed how difficult it is and nerve-wracking picking a college/uni. It's such a big choice and so scary having to leave family and friends.

The Beekeeper of Aleppo* by Christy Lefteri

The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Christy Lefteri

I'd like to thank Tracy and Manilla press again for having me on this tour.

This isn't my usual kind of book at all, I tend to stick with fantasy and science fiction but lately, I've been trying to read outside of my comfort zone. I'm happy to report that so far it's been super successful. I adored The Beekeeper of Aleppo* despite how sad it was. I really liked how the book ended in particular. It was realistic.

This Vicious Cure by Emily Suvada

This Vicious Cure by Emily Suvada

What a fantastic conclusion to one of my favourite series. It's a brilliant blend of sci-fi and dystopian with complex characters and so much political manoeuvring...even in a pandemic. There were twists and turns I never anticipated and audibly gasped when I found them out. Safe to say Emily Suvada is now an auto-buy author for me.

The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Volume One

The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Volume One

One of the cutest and most universally readable graphic novels I've come across. I adored how sweet but still adventurous Squirrel Girl was. It's perfect for kids and of course us Marvel fans. Especially as some other characters we know and love pop up here and there. Oh and the art style is adorable.
