A bit of a lighter reading month for February, but it is the shortest month and I did an awful lot. Then again, look at the size of Kingdom of Ash...nearly 1000 pages. I'm so happy I finally read that.
Franklin’s Flying Bookshop by Jen Campbell

Strange for me to be reading a picture book, alas Uni is a weird one. I loved Franklin's Flying Bookshop, the story was absolutely adorable. Anything with a dragon always gets me. That and I loved how the art almost looked like a child had done it with crayons. A very well thought out picture book.

Mary Barton by Elizabeth Gaskell

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Mary Barton. I haven't had the best of luck with enjoying my required reading thus far but I'm hoping this marks a change. I suppose you'd consider this a contemporary novel of the time. Mary, through no fault of her own, ends up in a bit of a love triangle which causes chaos as a result of another plot thread. It's a very sweet little story with some very likeable characters. I want to try North and South now.
