February Fairyloot

February 2020 Fairyloot

The last Fairyloot, at least for a little while whilst shipping and whatnot is affected. It was a very good box to end on anyway. This months theme was Rulebreakers. I had to giggle, I have literally read none of the books these items are about. None. I do however own six of them. I hope that gives you an indication of how my book hoarding is...

The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller

Whilst I haven't heard of this book I have heard of Tricia Levenseller's other books. I own Daughter of the Pirate King and am looking forward to reading it. The synopsis sounds amazing.

There is artwork underneath the dust jacket as well by vagueenthusiast.art.

**Taken from the book**

Alessandra is tired of being overlooked, but she has a plan to gain power;

  1. Woo the Shadow King.
  2. Marry Him.
  3. Kill him and take his kingdom for herself.

No one knows the extent of the freshly crowned Shadow King's power. Some say he can command the shadows that swirl around him to do his bidding. Others say they speak to him, whispering the thoughts of his enemies. Regardless, Alessandra knows what she deserves, and she's going to do everything within her power to get it.

But Alessandra's not the only one trying to kill the king. As attempts on his life are made, she finds herself trying to keep him alive long enough for him to make her his queen - all while struggling not to lose her heart. After all, who better for a Shadow King that a cunning, villainous queen?

I can't get over how good this lip balm smells. It's like a strawberry milkshake! It's really hydrating too. I've been struggling with chapped lips over winter so give me all the balms. This one was designed by Little Hearts Gifts and is based on Emily A. Duncan's Wicked Saints.

Whilst this is very cute gold isn't my thing at all. Silver all the way. All my jewellery is silver and when I can find it I go for bags with silver hardware. The scarf is lovely quality, however, very well made. It was designed by Taratjah and is based on Margaret Rogerson's Sorcery of Thorns.

I've got quite the collection of these mugs now. I love them, they've got the look of those fishing mugs but are ceramic instead. A big fan. This one was created by merwildandco and is based on Serpent and Dove. A book Fairyloot has featured previously. They've just announced their Blood and Honey collectors box too!

This art print is stunning and Hafsah Faizal's We Hunt the Flame has been on my TBR for ages. It's currently living at Sam's along with a portion of my library...which I obviously can't access right now. Most sad. This print was designed by noverantale.

I never use these for their intended purpose. I'm always too worried that they'll get lost or damaged on a case. Instead, they end up decorating my bookcase. This Lord of the Ring's tag was created by bookmarkd.tattoos and loveyoumorestudio

I haven't yet read Nevernight, but I have the whole series and know it's going to be a favourite of mine. These bookmarks are absolutely gorgeous, I reckon I'll use them when I finally read the books. THEY HAVE FOILING. I love a bit of foil. They were created by noverantale.

Also by noverantale and themed around Nevernight is this stunning sticker. I'm planning to order myself a clear laptop case so I can have the stickers on it without ever having to put them on my actual laptop. This will definitely be on there.

This months tarot cards are based on Laini Taylor's Strange the Dreamer and are as always created by Gabriella Bujdoso.

This months character art was created by myvalenstyles and it's stunnning. The bookmark and spoilercard as always was created by Taratjah.

We also got sent these gorgeous postcards as well. I can't seem to find the artist though! They went straight up on the wall.
