Cruise Diaries – Villefranche

September 30, 2019
Independence of the Seas

I have a new favourite city. Villefranche is a place we've stopped at before on Cruises but I've never explored it. We either went to Nice, Monaco or I simply didn't get off the ship. However, we've booked to go away for a week here next year and I was so excited to start scouting restaurants and bars this time around.

It's simply stunning. From the restaurants to the shops and just walking through the streets everything you see it so pretty. There's an air about the place that I can't quite explain but I just felt at home.

This is a port that you need to get a tender from the ship to the dock. It's not too rocky and quite a fun experience, you can certainly get some good photos on it.

In fact, the entire city is so photogenic...I definitely took advantage and got plenty of content for Instagram. Gotta #doitforthegram. Yes, I hate myself a little bit for typing that. Also shoutout to my Dad for being the chief photographer on this little expedition.

I had to include this photo in my little rundown of Villefranche. In fact, I think this is the most photos I have ever uploaded of myself in one post. I was balanced precariously on this ledge whilst my mother kept mouthing 'don't fall'. Nevermind that, I had to try so hard not to giggle.

The dress is from Newlook this past summer. (Similar here).

Sunglasses are Rayban Clubmasters Black/Green. (Here).

This sign made me laugh so much and also made me feel very good about the huge bruschetta I polished off about ten minutes after we saw this. I definitely want to try this place when we go back.

The home of said huge bruschetta, La Dolce Vita. I will definitely be going back here with Sam and my parents next year. Cheese, bread and truffle. What more could you want?

The most insane food, I can't wait to go back and the view was just amazing. I cant't think of a better way to spend lunch. With a mouthful of cheese, sat by the marina and a glass of rose on the side. Sidenote, this happens to be one of my favourite photos of me I've ever seen. I think because it's just me in my natural habitat...surrounded by food and wine. What more could you want?

I highly recommend heading to Villefranche if you haven't been. It's honestly beautiful with some of the best restaurants. Expect more content from here when we go away again next year.

Have you been on a cruise?

What did you think?

Thank you for reading,
