The Cruise Diaries, Gibraltar edition. We had a definite agenda this day. It was the day of my parents 25th Wedding Anniversary and they had decided to commemorate the day with a watch and a ring. They had been in contact with Antonio's Diamond Boutique for a few weeks prior to the holiday so they could get a selection of rings in and order the watch my dad was after.
Gibraltar is a brilliant place for shopping, it's an entirely duty-free island. Perfumes, makeup, watches etc are all a fair bit cheaper than getting them at home. In other words, it's where I tend to save up for if I know I'll be visiting! #feelingspendy
At this point, I think we've been there on almost every cruise and still you end up finding new little places to go and going back to old favourites.
Archie was the gentleman we had been in contact with and was who sorted us out whilst we were in the store. He spent ages with my parents helping them choose the perfect ring.
It wasn't about getting them to buy the most expensive one but rather he took the time to help choose a ring that complimented the ones my mum already wears.
Safe to say there was a lot of trying on done, a lot of photo-taking and a lot of diet coke drunk.
The store itself was stunning. They had so many different brands represented in this location. Antonio Diamond Boutique has about four sites located in Gibraltar along the same row. Each specialising in a particular type of jewellery. The air conditioning was a godsend!
If you're in the market for any kind of jewellery, be it watches, rings or anything I highly suggest taking a trip to Antonio's if you can. Archie made the experience so easy and fun as well.
I know my parents loved it and getting to watch them celebrate their anniversary in this was so special.
A huge thank you to Archie and the team at Antonio's.
Happy 25th Wedding Anniversary to you both....again!
My mum now wears a beautiful gold ring with channel set diamonds and my dad sports the Omega Aqua Racer.
Oh, did I forget to mention that I walked away with a very early (like a year early) graduation present? I've been lusting after the Tag Heuer Carerra for nearly a year. I originally planned to go with the larger face but due to a mix-up, they didn't have that in. Randomly I decided to try it on anyway and I fell in love. It was perfect. I still keep staring at it as though I can't believe it's on my wrist.
Have you been on a cruise?
What did you think?
Thank you for reading,
