Firstly, a confession.
I have not read a single Shadowhunters book....but I own them all. I think. Maybe not the Bane Chronicles but all the rest. I fully intend to read them, and I know I'm going to love them. That and I can't help myself with the Fairyloot boxes, they're my kryptonite.
This is another of their Collector's Edition boxes, this one instead for Chain of Gold and the rest of the Shadowhunter's books by Cassandra Clare.
The book for this month is, of course, Chain of Gold the first book in Cassandra Clare's The Last Hours series, the newest in the Shadowhunter's world.
Fairyloot's edition is completely exclusive but features the artwork on the endpapers and the bonus stories that all first editions of Chain of Gold have.
Whilst I normally give a synopsis for the books featured in Fairyloot boxes I don't want to with this simply because I'm avoiding all manner of spoilers and quite frankly at this point I'm not sure what constitutes a spoiler with this series.
You can find the Goodreads page here.
Whilst I have absolutely no clue what a Mortal Cup is, nor do I currently understand it's significance it's very pretty. Currently, it's sat with my shot glass collection and looks fantastic with them. This was created by Team Fairyloot.
What a gorgeous wood mark. These are by far my favourite kind of bookmark, they're always so pretty but delicate! I'm afraid of using them. The quote on this is lovely too, I'm excited to see where in the series' it fits. 'People are only invincible in books' - this was designed by stellabookishart. Then the portrait of Cordelia on the back was by niru.sky. She reminds me a little of the artwork I've seen of Clary.
Then finally the surprise extra was a print by merwildandco that features all the guys from Chain of Gold. I adore this print. It'll be a while before I managed to get to Chain of Gold but this is going in a frame asap.
So that was my Fairyloot Chain of Gold Collectors Edition Unboxing!
