Boyfriend Picks My TBR

If you haven't already seen him mentioned on my blog, I have an absolutely wonderful boyfriend called Sam. He cooks, he bakes and alongside my parents is incredibly supportive of all that I do. Including, my rambling on the internet. So when I asked him to pick out some books from my TBR(s), for me to read, after seeing one of my friends get their other half to do it, he was more than happy to help. In all honesty I think he was happy for the chance to have a mess with my perfectly ordered library...he frequently threatens to switch the books around when I'm out of the room!

Contagion* by Terri Terry

I have all of Terri Terry's books but have yet to read any. Bad I know. I know very little about Contagion* except that a girl called Callie has gone missing and just as her brother is loosing hope of ever finding her he sees someone that looks almost identical. It has a premise unlike anything I've ever read before.

Deception by Terri Terry

This was actually the first book Sam picked out. I recently had a reshuffle and decided to split my ARCS and finished copies so the first book Contagion* was in another room. Deception* follows on from the first book and for that reason I haven't looked up the synopsis.

5. The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett by Chelsea Sedoti

"It was the yellow that caught my attention" - genuinely his reason for picking this one. It is a lovely cover! This book really intrigues me, there's a lot of hype for YA thrillers at the moment and thats wha I think this is. Hawthorn Creely doesn't fit in at school and has recently interested herself into the investigation of missing teen Lizzie Lovett. She has a theory and in an attempt to prove it immerses herself in Lizzie's life.

1. Vox* by Christina Dalcher

I unleashed Sam on the ARC shelves and straight away he pulled Vox* out whilst going "ooooo". I think it was the name and the cover. I requested this a while ago and shame on me have yet to read it. I love the idea though. In this novel it has recently been decreed that women can speak no more than 100 words a day.

2. Lush by Gabrielle Fernie

Quite simply he knows me very well...

A big thanks to Sam for doing this for me.

Have you read any of the books he picked out?

What did you think?

Thank-you for reading,

I’m hoping I get to read it soon. Or any book that isn’t on my reading list. I’m drowning under the reading list :’)
