Beam Me Up

March 23, 2018

To start. This highlighter isn't called Beam Me Up, it's actually called Flexitarian, but that's just what I think every time I wear it simply because it looks like I could take the place of the sun. I've never used such a bright highlight. I'm genuinely concerned about the reflection causing an incident. The first time I wore it I was a little over zealous and nearly cried with laughter when I saw myself in the light. I looked like a greased turkey. However, with a lighter hand this is absolutely beautiful. I really like it on my shoulders/collar bones/that fancy french word for chest.

Considering I've used this every day for a few months it hardly has a dent in it. Which is fantastic, I don't think I'd be able to cope without this now. I use it alone and also as a base for other highlights if I'm feeling like I want to be really snazzy and flirt with the line of glazed goddess and greased turkey. I really love how this looks underneath the Dior Nude Air Luminizer (post here). The Super Shock Cheek Products from Colour Pop have a cream to powder texture which I really love. It makes them so easy to apply and they're just such fun. Oh I do miss Miranda. I have a few other shades from this range but I think Flexitarian is definitely my favourite...closely followed by Hippo, which is a light lavender. So prettyyyy. I feel like a unicorn wearing it.

Have you tried any of the Colour Pop Super Shock Cheek Products?

What did you think?

Thank-you for reading,

This is such a lovely post! I’ve heard so much about this highlight but the ‘blinding’ factor still scares me a little. As a cream product, do you just apply it with fingers on top of foundation and under powder? Or can you use a brush?

      Aw thank-you lovely!

It’s incredibly easy to control how intense you want this to be. I tend to use a duo fibre brush (the white and black bristled ones), simply because I’m messy. If you want a little more of a natural highlight I’d suggest using your finger, tapping it on the back of your other hand a few times and then applying it to your cheek. That way you can always add more if you wanted it!
      Hope that helps,
