April Fairyloot 2020

Fairyloot are now very very close to catching up to their shipping times pre-COVID, which means I need to get a move on unboxing each month. There were some gorgeous items in this box, possibly some more favourites. I know I say that every time. April's theme was Memories and I definitely think this was one of the best months for the items matching the theme.

Incendiary by Zoraida Cordova

Whilst I haven't read any of Zoraida Cordova's work I've loved the sound of each of her books. Incendiary had been on my radar for a little while before the box arrived but I had no idea this was going to be the book of the month. Also THIS COVER! The artwork on the reverse of the dust jacket was by Taratjah.

**Blurb taken from book**

Renata Convida was only a child when she was kidnapped by the crown. As a memory thief, the rarest and most feared of the magical Moria, she was used to carry out King's Wrath, a siege that resulted in the deaths of thousands of her own people.

Now Renata is one of the Whispers, a rebel spy working against the crown. When Dez, her commander - and the boy she's grown to love - is taken captive by the notorious Principe Dorado, Renata must return to the palace and complete his top-secret mission herself. Can she keep her cover even as she burns for vengeance against the brutal, enigmatic prince? Her life and the fate of the Moria depend on it.

But returning to the palace stirs memories long locked away. As Renata grows more deeply embedded in the royal court, she uncovers a secret that could change the entire fate of the kingdom--and end the war that has cost her everything.

This box included the third volume of the secret book! I can't wait to have these all lined up somewhere when I have the room. If you didn't know Fairyloot have also included the previous two secret books in their shop to purchase separately. This was designed by noverantale.

I love a good tote bag. I've always got at least two with me when I'm out shopping. This gorgeous Throne of Glass inspired bag was designed by fantasticalfeminism and features two gorgeous sides. A quote on one and the Court of Terrasen graphic on the other.

A super exciting item for me this month. For those of you that don't know I have a scrapbook and bullet journal meaning I'm always after more washi tape to add to my collection. This beautiful Daughter of Smoke and Bone themed washi tape was designed by tillanddill.

I've got more pin banners than I know what to do with now! Okay that's a lie. I know exactly what my plans are for them. This beautiful black and silver one is based on The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh (a previous fairyloot book Oct 2019)and was designed by dustandpages.

I think these might be my favourite tarot cards so far. These stunning illustrations of Dorian and Manon from the Throne of Glass series are by, as usual, gabriella bujdoso.

This month's spoiler card and bookmark was designed, as per usual by Taratjah. The character art on the reverse of the letter was also done be Taratjah this month. It's simply lovely.
