I loved this box. When Fairyloot picks a theme they go all out and for the April Dark Magic box, they delivered some cracking items. I can't wait to see what they do with the Finale special edition box. Lovely surprise too, I had no idea what the book was and hadn't heard of it.
I'd never heard of Nocturna before it turned up in my Fairyloot box but I'm so glad it did. I can't wait to start it.
**Taken from the back of the book**
To Finn Voy, magic is two things: a knife to hold under the chin of anyone who crosses her…and a disguise she shrugs on as easily as others pull on cloaks.
As a talented faceshifter, it’s been years since Finn has seen her own face, and that’s exactly how she likes it. But when Finn gets caught by a powerful mobster, she’s forced into an impossible mission: steal a legendary treasure from Castallan’s royal palace or be stripped of her magic forever.
After the murder of his older brother, Prince Alfehr is first in line for the Castallan throne. But Alfie can’t help but feel that he will never live up to his brother’s legacy. Riddled with grief, Alfie is obsessed with finding a way to bring his brother back, even if it means dabbling in forbidden magic.
And when Finn and Alfie's fates collide they realise magic can be other things too - and the type they accidentally release into the world is something neither of them expects, or understands.
There is no such thing as too many tote bags, especially when they're this pretty. This bag features a quote designed by KDP Letters and a character portrait by Morgana0anagrom both inspired be Leigh Bardugo's Grisha Trilogy.
How cute is this? I don't often drink loose leaf tea but when I do have it I'll definitely be giving this adorable tea strainer a go. This is based on the character Mr Kindly from Jay Kristoff's Nevernight series and designed by Fairyloot.
I can't place exactly what this soap smells like, its kinda fresh but I love the idea. A philosopher's stone soap. Genius. And it has a precious stone in it! This soap was created by Pretty Suds.
Children of Blood and Bone is one of my favourite novels. I'm not sure I can bring myself to use this, I'd be scared of mucking up the writing inside! This notebook was designed by Stella Bookish Art.
Book sleeves are another thing I'll never say no to. The more the merrier and I adore the Shades of Magic design on this. It's a super thick material too. This was designed by monolimeart.
Yessssss, I love enamel pins so much. This Emberfall pin is inspired by Brigid Kemmerer's A Curse So Dark and Lonely. It was created by Literary Emporium. Already got it on the pin banner.
This month's tarot cards are of Nina and Matthias from Leigh Bardugo's Six of Crows. As always the artwork is by artbyemmilinne.
As always we received a bookmark and spoiler card with art by Taratjah. This month's character art was created by niru.sky. As an added bonus we also received a postcard advertising We Set the Dark on Fire by Tehlor Kay Mejia.
So that was my April Fairyloot Unboxing!
